Decora

Decora is a prominent Japanese fashion style that has become the face of Harajuku fashions internationally. The style features bright colors and a large collection of accessories. Although the style's peak was in the mid-2000s, it is still popular and well-known in Harajuku.  Its predecesor is known as Shinora.

Visual kei 

Visual Kei is the name of an artistic movement among Japanese music artists as well as a umbrella term for the styles worn by the bands as well as the fans emulating them. It is also sometimes mistakenly used to refer to the Japanese Goth Punk style.

Various fashion styles that incorporate futuristic elements.

"Girly"

Girly has a growing amount of substyles that are tied together by their frilly casual appearance.

Gothic/Punk

Goth Punk is a dark japanese fashion that is influenced by western Gothic and Punk styles. The style is mostly associated with fans of Visual Kei bands.

Gyaru

Gyaru as a subculture has a long history in Japanese fashion. Although it is most commonly known by the rendition that peaked in the 1990s, it has actually existed in different forms since the creation of its name in 1968. At its height in the 1990s, the style was popular with music groups and actresses. The style is known for its rebellious outfits that went against popular Japanese beauty standards, such as tanned skin and big hair. Although old looks were extreme, the style became less extreme as time went on. Due to that, the gyaru subculture also started to categorize its members into kuro (dark) and shiro (pale) gyaru depending on the presence of a tan.

Kawaii

Japanese artistic and cultural style that emphasizes the quality of cuteness, using bright colors and characters with a childlike appearance.

Lolita Fashion

Lolita is a street fashion that originated in Japan, but has now spread worldwide with a large international following 

Lolita fashion has many of its own unique subcultures based on the style, and thus what qualifies as Lolita style can vary greatly. However, the clothing is mainly inspired by Victorian and Rococo fashion. Lolita as a fashion is heavily influenced and supported by a large community subculture.

Natural

The natural genre generally consists out of styles that also have a focus on natural fashion. Some are considered their own style outright as well as a substyle, while others are directly tied to mori kei or other fashions.

Cult Party kei

Cult Party Kei (カルトパーティー系) is a Japanese vintage fashion with a focus on many sheer layers and religious imagery. The name is derived from the store Cult Party which popularized that style, but the name isn't actually used much in Japan.
Cult Party Kei is often confused with Mori Kei.
